We had a mobile on the ceiling of our living room when I was little, a whale with a hole in its belly and a little person in it. I could watch it for hours. It’s still there at moms and I still love it. Your song made me think of that mobile. It’s a beautiful song Alexander, thank you! ❤️
Haha wow what a beautiful thing to imagine. You as a child looking at this gorey (but playful I assume) installation. What do you think it was about it that pulled you in?
Not gorey at all! 😆 ‘It has consumed me the last couple of weeks, and finally it was ready to spit me out.. Out of its belly with a song in my hand.’ I think reading that first and then listening reminded me of ‘Jonah and the whale’ 🐳 I think that mobile had something to do with that story, being in the belly of the whale for 3 days and 3 nights before the whale spits him out again.
Your calm and warm voice always pulls me in, I hadn’t slept well the last week and I slept like a baby after hearing it! 🙏🏼🥰 I loved the lyrics and music, the build up of instruments halfway through is so good! 🫧✨
Dear Alex, your voice is touching a part of my soul which is now coming back 'home'. Thank you for sharing your beautiful gift.
And it reminds my of my song from last year, which I just relistened to yesterday. Struck again by its beauty: https://open.substack.com/pub/wrestlewiththesun/p/song-silently-calling
These words capture precisely my highest aspiration of where I want to touch people 🥰 Thank you for letting it in so deep ❤️

How wonderful that it helped you sleep ❤️ The song that came out of the whale's belly 😊
The story about Jonah and the whale: 100% gory, though 😂
Put googly eyes on it and it’s not 🤫 *that’s my secret for all things scary* 😂
Yes that is a good idea! 🥹👋
