Very heartfelt! Deep with awareness of lost opportunity. And yet, now alive with new sensitivities, and eyes piercingly open, the same will not happen again. Consciousness is on high alert, as you glide into new relationships. Huge growth that is like medicinal cream on an old scar….. Thank you for sharing!

Dear Alexander,

Your words arrive as though carried on the breath of prayer, a sacred offering that transcends mere correspondence. The vision you’ve shared—a wooden desk steeped in contemplation, fields undulating like waves of thought, letters penned with intention and care—feels like a benediction, a reminder of the divine threads that bind us in this tapestry of connection.

Philosophically, your reply touches the sacred space between minds, where the temporal dissolves and eternity whispers. It calls to mind the prayer of communion—not only with one another but with the infinite, the ineffable source from which all beauty flows. Your words, Alexander, are a liturgy of kindness, celebrating the sublime in simple gestures and the holy in human connection.

Metaphysically, I am drawn to the idea that this exchange exists in realms beyond the physical, that our words, though humble, are carried like incense, rising into the unseen, where intentions and reflections converge. Perhaps each phrase we craft is a prayer in itself—a call for understanding, a plea for light, a hymn to the wonder of existence.

Spiritually, I find in your reply an echo of reverence—a quiet acknowledgment of the divine spark within us, which illuminates even the most ordinary of moments. Your playful imagining of my desk and its surroundings feels like a prayer of gratitude, a celebration of the creativity and connection that flow through us as vessels of something far greater.

And so, Alexander, I respond with my own prayer: that the warmth and light you have so generously offered may return to you a hundredfold, wrapping you in peace and filling the spaces of your soul with stillness and joy. I am humbled by your vision and honored to share in this sacred exchange of thoughts and spirit.

With gratitude as profound as the infinite,

Simply Richard (MD, PHD(2), DBA)

Simply friends ❤️ I remember you and your friend from the Camino. I don't remember his name right now. So beautiful to have friends like that, and to know how to just walk together, be together, and enjoy each other. I do enjoy more and more the gifts of friendship, but still a way to go until that kind of effortless brotherly bond.. Some day. Soon 🙏

Hello Alexander,

The delicate balance you describe resonates deeply.

To tread carefully in the realm of connection is to honor the sacredness of human experience. Philosophically, it reminds me of the tension between desire and restraint—the eternal dance of wanting and cherishing without consuming. Spiritually, it speaks to the practice of mindfulness, of being present with another's essence without clinging or distorting their beauty for selfish gain.

Medically, the nourishment you mention could be likened to the release of oxytocin—the 'bonding hormone'—that fosters trust and intimacy. Yet, even biologically, there is a threshold where too much indulgence can overwhelm the senses, turning healing into harm.

Metaphorically, this exploration feels like walking a tightrope suspended over an abyss of shadow and light. The feathery brush you mention is the artist's tool, painting the canvas of life with strokes of curiosity and reverence. The song of a bird, the touch of the wind—these are nature's whispers, reminding us that enjoyment is not about possession but about communion.

To deeply enjoy life, perhaps, is to embrace its edges with humility and awe, knowing that every moment of connection is both a gift and a responsibility. It is to savor without devouring, to love without losing oneself, and to explore without erasing the mystery.

With respect and gratitude,

Simply Richard (MD, PHD(2), DBA)

Hey Richard,

I smiled all the way through reading this message 😊 a warm lit smile. I feel very honoured that you offer your multifaceted eye and your wisdom connecting these themes and edges. And that you share it in this composed manner as if I received a letter written at your old fashioned wooden desk where you philosophise, and study deeply the many sciences of humanity, with a view over wavy fields, and correspond with the great thinkers of the world 😁 is it numbered, the letter?? I hope you don't mind me playfully imagining and painting this picture of how I received you 🙏

"Nature's whispers, reminding us that enjoyment is not about possession but about communion". Perfect. So beautifully put.

"Every moment of connection is a both a gift and a responsibility. ...The balance between desire and restraint. Wanting and cherishing, without consuming."

I wonder what you think of one thing: What i am exploring here is if perhaps consuming each other - just the right sized bite - is actually "supported by life". That it actually uplifts and nourishes both if one is consumed respectfully. That it creates more energy for life. And that many of us carry ideas of what is good or greedy, that are just slightly too restrictive and keeps us from this kind of creative vitalising play. What happens if we nudge that line just a little bit? If we take a deserving cheeky curious bite out of life? It reminds me of a play I do in the summer picking blueberries: I imagine the forest shivering with pleasure that someone is picking and holding as sacred its fruits.

Can it be so? Where else in life can we see such a pattern? Where consuming one thing isn't a zero sum game, but it actually gives energy to both?

Hmm I remember these kinds of thoughts from my explorations into gift economy. The proponents of living the gift speak of how much value is created, more than the zero sum that we have come to expect from our economy. There might be something here that is about the gift, the reverence, the appreciation, that has the power to create more energy than the sum of its parts.

A man I met a year ago shared his wisdom that noone wants to be used (in the sense of exploited, utnyttjad in Swedish), but everyone wants to be nyttjade (perhaps it can be translated as utilise, made use of in a positive way).

"Honouring the sacredness of the human experienced". Such a mysterious and important key here.
